Chernobyl Tour
visit the site of the worst environmental disaster in history

The exclusion zone around the old town of the infamous Chernobyl, has become a tourist attraction and offers to be an insightful full day excursion. Although, visiting the dead zone site of the world's worst nuclear disaster, is probably the last place on Earth to which a sane person would choose to go on a city break, scientists claim, a visit to Chernobyl presents no more dangers than flying by aircraft. During the day excursion, small ghost towns will be visited and finally ending up in the old settlement of Chernobyl. Although this 30km zone is still controlled by authorities, the area is completely safe and much of the wildlife in the forests are thriving, enjoying life without human contact & pollution. In the absence of people, the streets and countryside around are completely free of litter and the air is crystal clean, which makes for a nice change from the bustle of Kiev city life. The Chernobyl tour is informative, heart breaking but never the less and an amazing experience. If you have participated in tours such as Auschwitz and Birkenau in Krakow, then maybe you should consider seeing Chernobyl and over abandoned towns. Who else can say they’ve been to Chernobyl on a Kiev weekend city break holiday? Not many, that’s for sure!
